A bilateral visa waiver agreement between the UAE and Russia came into force

On February 17, 2019 the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on the mutual abolition of visa requirements for citizens of two countries, signed in the city of Kazan on July 6, 2018, comes into force.

In accordance with the Agreement, citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of the United Arab Emirates who own all types of valid passports who do not have an intention to work, study or reside in a territory of another state are exempted from visa requirements and have the right to enter, stay or transit through a territory of an another state without a visa for up to 90 days during each 180-day period.
