The Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC) was established in December 2013 under the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, to transform Dubai into the capital of Islamic economy.
Vision of DIEDC is to position Dubai as the capital of Islamic economy that sets standards while leading innovation and growth across all sectors. The Islamic Finance market is dynamically developing in recent years.
The main condition of its organization is the compliance of Islamic financial products with the requirements of the Quran and Sharia.
Last year, in the framework of the X International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit» a Memorandum of Understanding between Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Dubai Islamic Development Center was signed, which contributed to the development of the process of further rapprochement between Russia and the Islamic world, as well as the establishment of economic cooperation.
