Ministry of Labor and Social Development (Saudi Arabia's Family Affairs Council) organized the symposium on «Specific measures and indicators for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from a family perspective in Member States», which took place December 11, 2018, un Jeddah.
Following the discussion, the parties elaborated a joint paper containing some recommendations to empower the family and face economic, social and cultural challenges. The paper will be presented at the Conference of Ministers of Social Affairs to be held in Turkey next year.
This fall, October 22, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency won the United Nations Investment Promotion Award for outstanding achievements in promoting investment in sectors that will bring social and economic benefits and help countries achieve SDGs.
